FAQs

Before first use wash bakeware in hot, soapy water before rinsing and drying thoroughly. For optimum results, season the pan’s interior by wiping with shortening or cooking oil. To prevent warping, avoid sudden temperature changes such as pouring cold liquids into a hot pan or placing a hot pan on a cold surface. Always ensure hand protection such as oven gloves are worn when moving or lifting hot bakeware.

Kate’s Kitchen tin bakeware products are dishwasher safe, but hand washing is the recommended cleaning method. Do not use dishwasher detergent tablets; these concentrated cleansers can damage the bakeware finish and limit its performance. When hand washing use a sponge and hot, soapy water then dry thoroughly. Always towel dry your pan immediately after hand washing.

Remove burnt-on or stuck food remnants by soaking the pan for a few minutes in water. Avoid soaking pans overnight. Never use steel wool or scouring powder on non-stick bakeware as these may scratch the surface. If scrubbing is necessary, use a nylon pad with hot, soapy water or a non-abrasive, silicate-based cleanser. Always towel dry your pan after washing.
